Stuart Pearce Rileys World Cup ambassador

Iconic footballing legend Stuart Pearce became the official 2014 FIFA World Cup ambassador for Rileys Sports Bar.

Our objective was to raise the profile of the partnership and manage the relationship between Rileys Sports Bars and Stuart Pearce throughout the duration of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Bird organised a national press conference at Rileys Haymarket in London to announce that Stuart Pearce was the official World Cup ambassador for Rileys Sports Bars. We invited national media and received an impressive turnout from sports editors at the Sun, the Mirror, the Daily Sport, Sports vibe and Zoo magazine.

National press coverage achieved in The Sun, Zoo Magazine, Sports Vibe, the Daily Mirror and Daily Sport when the partnership between Rileys and Stuart Pearce was announced.

Activity
We also organised an exclusive World Cup preview evening in association with Rileys at the Sports Bar Haymarket following the press conference. Fans had the opportunity to attend the event and put their questions to the sporting legend.

Results
The ‘Subbuteo World Cup’ challenge increased engagement between customers and drove people online to enter. The Stuart Pearce blogs and Twitter activity had a positive impact on website hits and Rileys social media followers increased during this period.
