#LiveBetterMCR & The Importance of Workplace Wellbeing

At Bird Consultancy we’re proud to have been involved in several projects promoting positive health and wellbeing. And in October we were honoured to have led our most personal yet…

On Thursday October 3rd the first ever LiveBetterMCR conference was held at the Etihad Stadium, fully curated and delivered by the Bird team.

The not-for-profit event was presented by The Running Bee Foundation, a close friend and client of Bird Consultancy.

#LiveBetterMCR gave people the opportunity to learn all about the amazing benefits of positive workplace wellbeing. Not only for the benefit of employees, but also for the benefit of business as a whole.

In the months leading up to the event the Bird Consultancy team worked to organise and deliver the event from its foundations, starting most importantly with cultivating a line-up of quality speakers from the world of business and sport.

These speakers, including Phil Jones MBE (Managing Director, Brother – UK) and Carl Austin-Behan (LGBT Advisor to the Mayor of Greater Manchester), not only offered great words of advice and some amazing real-life stories but they ensured that all the content featured was practical and could be taken away and implemented in the day-to-day operations of countless businesses looking to make wellbeing improvements.

This is a quality that Bird was committed to from the start; Every speaker and every session of the day needed to fit with the message we were delivering to the delegates.

It was essential that the content delivered was well-rounded and varied to cover virtually all aspects of workplace wellbeing and encompassed everything a delegate would need to know to have practical implications on their respective businesses.

Not only this, but the Bird team were adamant that the content included in the day’s activities was to avoid any potentially outdated ideas and methodologies about workplace wellbeing. Bird wanted to ensure #LiveBetterMCR had its feet firmly grounded in the present and the future of wellbeing in the workplace.

The day itself consisted of various networking opportunities for delegates to talk business and all-things wellbeing (with snacks and refreshments of course!) as well as numerous on-stage, interactive panel discussions and various interchangeable breakout sessions to allow delegated to take in as much positive wellbeing knowledge as possible.

At Bird we like to work with people we know we can trust to deliver a quality product time and again, which is why we chose to work alongside our good friends at The AV Guys who handled the visual and sound technical aspects of the conference. Once again, they delivered a seamless job, with digital displays that showcased all the unique design work our in-house designer crafted for the event.

The results, the feedback speaks for itself, and told us that we delivered on all of our objectives…

That event was TOP DRAWER btw! Every detail was immaculate.
