From Wembley to Gorton with Love from Raheem Sterling

On Sunday afternoon, the sun was shining on the HideOut Youth Zone in Gorton where a junior Euros tournament took place for 8-12 year old kids who live in the area.

At 3pm the kids got a huge surprise from England’s Raheem Sterling as a delivery of new footballs, and kit was delivered courtesy of Raheem and his sponsors New Balance.

Commenting HideOut CEO Adam Farricker said ‘ This is a great gesture from Raheem, he visited us in April and was blown away with our facilities and the work we are doing to engage with young people in Gorton to enable them to have a safe place to meet, socialise, learn, play and get a good meal 7 days a week’

Although Raheem is currently at St George’s park with the England team ahead of the big match against Germany this Tuesday, he sent a message to the youngsters who are playing today;

Great to see photos and videos of all the kids and my friends at the HideOut bringing the Euros to Manchester. I’m gonna send the top goal scorer at the end of today’s games a pair of my boots. Come on Team HideOut”
