The event at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday 3rd October will bring together experts from fields of business, sport and digital to debate, learn and explore how we can better support the wellbeing of our workforce.

Jeff Ross, from Harris & Ross physiotherapists, one of the organisations behind #LiveBetterMcr, will be discussing the importance of physical wellbeing in the workplace. “In the professional sporting environment every aspect of wellbeing is prioritised, both physical and mental, they look after their assets. We just don’t see the same from a large proportion of the corporate world. So with #LiveBetterMCR we’re looking at how we can take that holistic approach to the business world.”
“We know that wellbeing and productivity are inextricably linked. All of your workforce might turn up, but if they don’t feel well, if they’re stressed, then they’re not performing. If you’ve got a happy, healthy workplace you’re going to be more productive.”
Chris Bird, co-founder of #LiveBetterMCR, and CEO of Sports Tours International, added “as employers we have a responsibility to look after our workforce. Not only is it the right thing to do, but a happy, healthy workforce will ultimately perform better for your business.
The evidence is there, looking after your well-being helps your business and it is something we should all be learning more about, discussing, debating and taking learnings from different sectors.”
In addition to speakers and panel discussions there will be informative drop in sessions; Stress management: financial/personal/workload; productivity: high performance teams; get the inside scoop from a top business leader.
The #LiveBetterMCR conference will take place on the 3rd October at the Etihad Stadium.
