Chris Bird - Chairman: Chris founded Bird Consultancy in 1990, after many years in commercial radio and local and regional press. His extensive experience also includes four years at Manchester City Football Club as Chief Operating Officer and Board Director. Chris has a wide range of other commitments within Manchester and the surrounding community, including: Chief Executive Sports Tours International, Deputy Chairman UKONE Productions, non-executive Director of JD Sports plc, and is a trustee of the Bridgewater Hall Education Trust.

Karen Monks - Director of PR: Karen has an immense scope of UK and international media knowledge. Her impressive CV features a broad range of experience, including a significant amount of time within commercial radio.

Pete Bird - Director of Operations: Pete began his career as a communications specialist in the Royal Navy. He acquired an expansive breadth of knowledge working within communications, which proves invaluable in the line of PR and events.

Kate Speakman - Account Executive: Kate has over three years experience within the leisure and hospitality sector. Combined with her Honours degree in Public Relations from Leeds Metropolitan University, her skills and experience are of enormous value to the company.

Rachel Vinchi - Account Executive: Rachel has a BA Honours degree in French and English Literature from the University of Liverpool and over five years experience in the PR sector. She has worked on a number of high profile national accounts and her communication skills and wide-ranging expertise make her a valuable asset to the Bird Consultancy team.

Vikki McCrindle - Account Executive: Vikki attended university in Manchester where she achieved an Honours degree in Sociology. Her academic background and wide-ranging research skills make Vikki invaluable to the clients she works with and the Bird Consultancy team.

Jo Preihs - PR Assistant: Jo attended the Business School at Manchester Metropolitan University where she gained an MA in Public Relations. She is able to put her writing skills and extensive knowledge of theoretical and working PR to good use across the range of clients within Bird Consultancy.

Support Team

Steve Hodgkiss – Creative Manager: Steve handles the graphic design side of Bird Consultancy’s business, having more than 15 years’ experience as an in-house graphic designer.

Andy Pearson – Creative Copywriter: Andy is a senior agency copywriter for over 10 years and a key member of the Bird Consultancy support team.
